Disney World Tips #2 Disney Sports and Recreation

Walt Disney World Resort offers so many other fun and exciting activities besides Disney theme parks and water parks.

Disney Sports and Recreation offers a wide variety of options, and before you visit on your vacation, you should plan ahead and see if you want to partake in them.

You will have to plan them into your day, or make a whole day of it. We will discuss all of the different Disney Sports and Recreations here.

Some people like to go to the parks early in the mornings, then leave and visit the resorts or enjoy other sports or pool time, and then later towards evening go back to the parks for the parade and fireworks and some more rides.

Other sports might require more time like the Richard Petty Driving Experience or a Fishing Excursion, so it is good to book these things ahead of time and plan accordingly.

If you husband wants to go Para Sailing and you and the kids don’t want to, take this time and go shopping at Downtown Disney or Exploring some of the wonderful Resorts like the New Art of Animation Resort.

Some of our favorites over the years have been the Pony rides when the kids were younger (under 45 inches), Miniature Golf, and the Walking Trails.

Here are some of the things that Disneyworld offers as Sports and Recreation. Most all of these things costs, but some things are free.

  • Water Sports ~ Tubing, Wake Boarding, Para Sailing, Water Skiing, Boat Rentals
  • Miniature Golf ~ Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland

If you are interested in any of these Disney Sports and Recreation activities you should make reservations in advance.

It is hard with so many fun things to do, if you want to have an Adult night, the Kids Programs are fun and reasonable.

The kids love the Wonderland Tea Party or Pirate Adventure.

If your brave enough the water tubing and para sailing are unique.

Whatever you choose to do, make sure you get lots of Disney pictures for your scrapbooks, and have some Magical Disney fun!
